To begin our relationship, there will be an initial consultation/design visit or phone conversation. This will typically be to review any plans and/or communicate with designers, contractors and home owners. We often request sketches or photos if you already have a design in mind, or we can create a detailed drawing based on your input and submit it for your approval.

If you are satisfied and approve our drawing, we will prepare you a formal proposal. Please sign both and send back.

~Metal fabrication is a craft and a form of art, just like any artwork it impossible to duplicate 100%. Our products are not mass produced, we fabricate each piece individually for the client. Please understand no two items will be exactly alike, especially if browning/aging is applied. 

Terms: To get your project on our calendar we require a 50% deposit before the job is placed in production. This secures your material and order on our schedule. When you place your order you will receive an email confirmation with an estimate to sign and send back, as well as your deposit invoice. Each job will be placed on our schedule in the order it was received. The balance will be due in full when complete and prior to shipping or pick up. Please note, lead time can vary depending on the order of schedule. Custom designs may take longer.

* We recommend the use of a reputable contractor for all installations.

For jobs that Copper Innovations is to install: The balance of the total amount is due upon completion. If installation is delayed by the customer/builder for any reason, then CII reserves the right to collect a percentage as a draw before installation. The remaining balance would then be due upon final completion of the job.

Shipping and handling: Shipping and handling is NOT included. There are many factors  that determine the S&H price, such as overall weight, size and ship to location. Unfortunately not knowing the correct information will undoubtedly provide you with an incorrect total. We will either invoice you separately for S&H, or if you wish, the shipping company can bill you directly. We usually ship either UPS, FEDEX or depending on the item regular mail.  Let us know which method works best for you. 

Returns & General Policy Information: Damaged merchandise upon arrival: It is the customers responsibility to inspect all packages for damage prior to signing for shipments. Copper Innovations, Inc. will not be liable for damaged shipments unless noted on delivery receipt. All of our shipments are insured so it is important that if it arrives damaged you contact us immediately. We will reship new products as soon as the damaged ones are returned.

Please read the following carefully: When you place your order, you sign a contract that is legally binding for both you and Copper Innovations. We accommodate cancellations according to our progress and expenses incurred.

Cancellation Policy
  • If you wish to cancel your contract/order within 24 hours of sending your signed proposal/contract and initial deposit payment, you may do so in writing via email or fax without penalty. We will send your refund via check. 
  • If you wish to cancel within 48 hours after we receive your payment, but before we proceed with processing your order, i.e. ordering material, etc., you may do so in writing via email or fax. In this case, we will refund all but 20% of the deposit total and will send a refund check to you.
  • After we start preparing your order, ordered material, etc., you may cancel the order, but your deposit is forfeited at this point.
  • If we have already begun fabricating your order, you cannot cancel at this point and payment will be expected in full per the signed proposal.

Please note: If there are changes in design following acceptance of proposals, this will likely result in delays. If there are changes in design after construction has begun, this will result not only in obvious delays, and will likely result in adjustments to the originally quoted price.

Refunds/exchanges: We do not offer refunds or exchanges on custom work except as noted above. 

DisclaimerA natural copper luster finish will change and discolor over time and will eventually patina over decades. This is the natural property of copper and is a desired trait of the element and is understood by the purchaser of these products. Points of welding, soldering, joints of sheets, etc., yield a different shade and at times different levels. This is to be considered part of the "charm" of the product. 

Wholesale Pricing, Retail Discounts, and Special Rates: We offer discounts on a case by case basis. If you are ordering multiple items, please contact us to see if your order qualifies for a discount.
